Finished Work

I am really pleased with the finished work that our group has produced. I think that although we encountered a few problems with filming and editing, our music video was a success and probably better than we had hoped it would be. When we came up with the idea we were a bit concerned that it went against the conventions of hip hop music videos so much that it would just look completely random, however I believe that the colours of the video, the character and editing compliments the music and fits in really well with the beat and feel of the song, even though it challenges convention.
I felt that we were a bit rushed trying to complete our digipack but I am happy with the way both turned out. I think that the poster is really strong as it is quite simple which puts all of the focus on Rob who is also the main focus throughout our music video, creating a sense of continuity. Rob is also dressed in the same costume as he was in the video which makes it easy for a consumer to relate the poster/product with the video they have seen on the television.
The DVD cover is also very eye catching with the wall as a background and a graffiti style title. Rob is also the main focus on this creating continuity between all three products.
